If the feelings around leaving home for a two month bike fishing trip weren't enough, Nancy and I have decided to move to Alaska, in February, while I'm pedaling down the coast. Suddenly, I not only have two weeks left before the trip, but also two weeks left in our Wyoming home.

ts that time of year again, when the snow plows are working their way up and over Beartooth Pass, attempting to remove feet of snow before the onslaught of tourists . Until it's clear, the road remains closed to vehicle traffic, leaving bicyclist free reign...kind of.

Brother Matt is one of my go to adventure partners. Whenever I have some hair-brained trip idea, he is one of the first I approach, and almost always says yes. While our days off don't always line up, we often make a point of driving the three hours through Yellowstone to meet up mid week.

I often have to break it to would be bike buyers, that there is no such thing as a bike that does everything. While some bikes do many things well, the best solution is to have multiple, purposeful bikes (n+1 right?).
